Little India: Reviews & Ratings
Name is so apt. Yes, this shop is a little India. One stop shop for everything. This is my first store I have visited in Minneapolis, so can't compare with other stores. I love the sweets most. Overall it is a nice store. I would recommend Tip: For fresh vegetables visit on Tuesday and Friday
This place does full justice to its name and of course deserves 5 on 5, precisely because I came here to buy fish and I got just the specific one I was looking for (Rohu), they have various other types of fishes you can choose from. Great place to buy fresh lamb & goat meat plus their fresh meat section has quite a variety. Fully stocked up and they have an Indian sweet counter at the back of the store which is great. Good selection of fresh veggies to choose from.
They have everything that is Desi/Indian originated. From the spices to the vegetables and snacks in between, they almost have it all. What was surprising for me was their wide variety of fish available at the market. Almost all the major Bengali fish was there that you can name - hilsa, rohu, tilapia, and many more.
Got a give them the credit of making this place the ultimate stop for anything indian. Wide variety of spices and stuff. They carry alot of really hard to find spices as well. This is the only place we stop to get beans, spices and stuff. Sure some stuff one can find cheeper elsewhere, but still won't find the variety... very nice!
One can purchase groceries, spices, and other traditional Indian goods. I personally go there to buy halal meat. It is slightly expensive than other stores and you won't find price labels on many items. However, it's a good store to have, especially if someone is from South Asia.
I went going to find Thai ingredients and it wasn't the right place for that. The produce section had some interesting hard to find items like fresh curry leaves. Definitely check it out for Indian food.
This store has affordable prices for items from India and some Arabic countries! They have food, spices, cookware, self care items, snacks and more!!
Yes this is a little India. Name is so appropriate. Fresh vegetables, fresh meats are available here and Lots of required spices are also here. You will get everything from this place. Mishti doi, Sandesh, rosogolla and many others sweets are available here. Love this shop.
